Baby Weston – Toronto Newborn Photographer
This beautiful little boy came in to the studio recently with Mom, Dad and big sister Kierce. (I am really hoping I have spelled that right!) Weston has been welcomed into a family that is just so full of love! I have actually photographed his cousin as well, and I am sure all of these kiddos are going to have a blast growing up together.
Weston was full of little smirks and sleepy smiles as well went through his session, making for some seriously adorable photos. He was not a huge fan of anything that didn’t involve being swaddled, or snuggled up in someone’s arms – but hey, that’s ok! When you are a precious brand new human you get to make all kind of demands.
I was super excited when Mom let me know that she had an 8 year old daughter as well. Most of the siblings I work with are toddlers and while I ADORE seeing wee little ones with their brand new babies, it was super fun to work with this beautiful little girl who could hold and pose her new brother. She wasn’t particularly fond of doing family photos (what kid is at that age?) but she did a fabulous job of faking it and was all about snuggling up in front of my camera with Weston.
Even though Weston was a big fan of being wrapped we did manage to get a few sweet portraits of him sleeping on his tummy. Many times this is the first time parents have spent much time looking at their newborn without them being hidden in a sleeper or swaddle. Often I hear “Oh look, I didn’t realize there was a birth mark on his back” or something to that effect. I know that with my own first born he was pretty much either wrapped up tight or naked and screaming while I rushed to get him wrapped up tight! Newborns don’t love the cold or being naked, but the studio is SO warm and cozy that we can get away with tricking them into hanging out for their photo shoot.
That smile though! He is just perfection <3
Thank you so much to the whole family for trusting me to create Weston’s first portraits! It was so nice to meet you all, and I can’t wait to show you the full gallery!

If you are looking for a Toronto newborn photographer please get in touch so we can chat about how I can create gorgeous images of you and your newborn. I have been photographing newborns, babies and pregnancy for over 10 years and feel so honored to have captured hundreds and babies and their families as they start their journey in this world.
For best results I do recommend that newborn sessions take place within the first 2 weeks after birth. At this time babies are still quite sleepy and have that sweet, fresh “curled” appearance. For this reason it is ideal to book the appointment before delivering to ensure that there is availability. That said, I am always happy to try to accommodate last minute requests or older babies where the schedule allows, so if you have missed that window please give me a call at 647 272 5450 or send me an email at info@annyamillerphotography.com.
If you are just starting in your search for a newborn photographer and aren’t 100% sure what to look for in a good photographer you may was to check out this article – Selecting a Newborn Photographer – for some tips on what to ask, and things to consider.
