Amy & Owen – Mommy & Me Photo Session

After Amy and Owen left the studio, I texted one of my best friends “There are so many people I should have been friend’s with in high school! Amy is SO sweet!” This girl is the nicest, most open and warm person and my goodness Motherhood looks amazing on her. She is one of those Moms that truly seems to bask in the time she has with her baby, soaking it all up and enjoying every moment she can. Her little (not so little actually!) guy Owen adores her and I loved capturing his loving stares throughout their photo shoot.

Ok, so we have established how awesome Amy is… now can we talk about these gorgeous THIGHS?! I mean seriously, it does not get any better than those adorable chunky baby rolls. Definitely gave them a little squeeze when he arrived ? Little man is only 4 months old, but he is as big as a 9 month old and as strong too. Mama is clearly making some incredibly rich and wonderful milk for her boy, and she shared that she was donating to the milk bank too which I LOVE.  Breastmilk can make such a huge difference in the lives and health of preemies and baby’s with immune disorders or other health issues. She is literally saving lives with her generosity <3

I love this sweet moment, snuggled together and enjoying the simple things in life – like toes! One of my favourite memories of my son Peyton as a baby was the day he discovered his own hands. He lay there in his bouncy chair bringing them in front of his face and then away with this look of utter fascination and awe. The really do appreciate the simple things in life, and when you take the time to slow down and look around with them it is quite the experience.

Amy, thank you so much for bringing Owen in for a Mother’s Day Session! It was so wonderful to meet your beautiful little man, catch up on what you have been up to and hang out for a bit. He is a lucky boy to have such a strong, intelligent and compassionate woman raising him – he will do well with you leading him!

The studio is located in Pickering and serves the Durham Region, GTA and Toronto. Through the warmer months of May – October, a limited number of outdoor sessions are also available at parks and trails around the Durham Region.
