While we are obviously so sad that he is no longer here, I am ever grateful to the research that is done every day as it gave us far longer with our Father than we would have otherwise had. Dad had multiple surgeries and a few very close calls when we were little kids, but thanks to an amazing team of doctors he was able to beat the odds (20% chance of survival) and live to see his 3 daughters grow up. Pretty amazing stuff!
