Amara – Durham Region Maternity Photographer

I have a total platonic girl crush on this gorgeous gal. We met years ago while working at a restaurant and I am telling you she is as sweet, genuine and funny as she is beautiful. It had been quite a few years since I last saw her so I was doubly excited to meet her little girl Violet at the maternity session. Of course I have kept up and watched Violet grow up on facebook – she is actually only about a month younger than my little girl – but getting to meet her in person was fabulous.

For this session I had a light airy feel in my head. I was loving the set and just wanted a soft, feminine and flowing feel for these portraits. I spoke to Amara and of course her first reaction was “I have nothing”. Been there, totally get that feeling. Luck was on our side though because she found this gorgeous gown at H&M for a price so incredible I won’t even say. Some things are just meant to be – it was perfect. Sweet Violet is a total spitfire with this MASSIVE personality. I cannot wait to see who she becomes as she gets older, I’m pretty sure she is going to run the world. Completely adorable and I couldn’t stop giggling at her light and energy! (and her love for Paw Patrol 😉 )

She wasn’t huge on the idea of having her picture taken, but we managed to sneak in some great shots anyway! Somewhere in this picture there is a Marshall toy. I’m pretty sure he is hidden in Mama’s lovely locks.

I genuinely can’t decide which is my favourite portrait from this session, but the above is close to the top. I truly could have shared every image, they are all stunning. Amara you are a rock star, it was a blast to work with you. I can’t wait to see the lovely little lady hiding away in your belly!
