Baby Riley – Durham Older Newborn Photography

One more sweet boy to share this weekend, and then off to snuggle my own littles! This little guy was a bit older than we normally see newborns being photographed (7 weeks), but he ROCKED it. As time goes on I hear from more and more parents who have been turned away because their babies are “too old” for a newborn appointment. Photographers definitely prefer to have newborns come in within the first two weeks of birth, which is fair as it is definitely easier, however I also love photographing these “older” newborns. They might be a little bit harder to get into a deep sleep, but I love their flawless skin and chubbier cheeks – plus sometimes you get lucky with an adorable little social smile like this 🙂

These 3 people make such a lovely family. I had such a good time hearing stories about their travels around the world. This little boy is in for an amazing life from the sounds of things.

This little monkey has been “his” since before he was conceived. I love it.
