Baby Shiv – Durham Newborn Photos

This handsome fellow is baby number 2 for this family! I met them just a couple of years ago when they had their first son, Veer. I was so excited when Mama got in touch and let me know that baby number 2 was on his way! Virtually everything about this job is wonderful, I am incredibly blessed, but one of the best parts is getting to watch these babies, and their families grow.

Shiv was a dream for his newborn session. He slept, he ate, he slept some more. There were a few times where we had to pull out some tricks and get creative, but I think the images speak to how lovely he was!

Veer was a bit apprehensive about being photographed alone with his brother (we managed to sneak a few anyway!) but he was full of smiles for the family photos! Pretty sure one of the characters from Paw Patrol was jumping on my head at this point ?

I am completely in love with this sweet little set up, and Shiv was the perfect model for it. That gorgeous skin, his beautiful hair – such a beautiful baby!

This one was one that we had to work a little bit extra for. Often babies aren’t thrilled with being on their backs, but with an extra feeding (or 2) he finally settled in and it was SO worth it!

Thank you so much to the entire family for bringing Shiv in for his newborn session! It was so lovely to see you all again, and of course to meet your newest addition.

To ensure your little one stays safe and comfortable through out the process I use composites and safe posing techniques to create your portraits.

For best results it is recommended that newborn session take place within the first 2 weeks after they are born. During this time babies are typically quite sleepy and have that sweet “curled” appearance. For this reason it is recommended that you book your appointment before the baby arrives to ensure availability. If your little one is already here, or you have missed that 2 week window but would still like newborn photos please give me a call or shoot me an email ASAP. I will always try to accommodate whenever the schedule allows!
