Baby Hunter – Durham Newborn Photos

Sweet little Hunter and his big sister Estelle were in recently for his newborn sessions and they were both complete and total angels. It was the type of session that I think everyone envisions if they have never actually been to a newborn session… The baby sleeping peacefully the entire time, without stirring or fussing, and the sibling quietly waiting their turn and then showering their new baby with gentle hugs and kisses. The session they envision before they realize that we newborn photographers are like baby soothing ninjas, that most newborns require quite a few tricks to keep them asleep and often times the siblings are feeling a lots of emotions about this new person taking up all of their parents time, and those emotions are not limited to love and affection ?

Are they not simply adorable together?! This young lady was truly wonderful with her brother, it was so much fun to watch her interact with him.

Check out that adorable swirl in the front of his hair. These are the tiny details that I love capturing in newborn sessions. Things that will either fade away and disappear over time, or will become some much of the character of that child as they grow. I look back on my children’s newborn sessions and love seeing the tiny little pieces that would eventually make up the puzzle of who they are today.

I couldn’t believe this amazing smile he cracked while holding his pose perfectly – what a pro! 😛

Thank you to Mom and big sister for bringing Hunter to me for his first set of portraits! I had a fabulous time hanging out and keeping warm at studio with you over that crazy weekend of ice and rain!

If you are expecting or have recently had a sweet baby of your own I would love to chat with you about creating gorgeous custom newborn portraits of your little one. For best results newborn sessions should take place within two weeks after the baby is born. During this time they are still quite sleepy and have that “curled” fresh appearance. If you have missed this window please get in touch anyway as I am always happy to try to fit last minute bookings in whenever the schedule allows. I hate the idea of anyone missing out on having this beautiful memento of their baby!

The studio is located in Pickering, just off the 401 and Whites Rd. and serves the Durham Region, Toronto and the GTA. There is a large prop room stuffed with beautiful items that we can use to fully customize your session to create on of a kind portraits of your newborn, and with over 10 years experience photographing babies I am fully confident in my ability to create gorgeous portraits while keeping your precious baby safe and comfortable.
