Baby Luke – Durham Cake Smash Session

As they often are, Luke was quite apprehensive when he arrived for his cake smash session. He wrapped his arms around his Auntie’s legs and tried his best to stay hidden, while occasionally peeking out to check out this new person and space he was in. Thankfully Grandma had packed his favourite ball in the bag, and after just a few minutes he was happily playing with it. As soon as it rolled away I had my in – pick the ball up, smile, roll it back – boom, instant besties. ? Yes, sometimes it is THAT simple with these sweet babies.

After that point it only took a tiny bit of convincing to get Luke to give me some smiles, and once the cake was out he was having a blast!

 

Those shoes though…. ?

This boy wasted NO time digging into that cake! He had a blast playing with the icing and painting it onto the backdrop!

Luke loved his cake, but the real fun began in the bath. I swear the child was trying to flood the studio! ? He had water splashing everywhere and was giggling and laughing the entire time. If you haven’t considered having your little one do some splash pictures at the end of their cake smash session you really should – it is ADORABLE!

Thank you to Grandma and Auntie for bringing this sweet boy in to celebrate his first birthday! It was lovely to meet you all and I truly enjoyed watching him have a blast with his cake and bubble bath.
